Authorize Preparation of Plans and Specifications-Bloomfield 7th Addition, City Project 384k CITY OF ROSEMOUNT EXECUTIVE SUMMARY FOR ACTION CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: February 3, 2004 On January 21, 2003, the feasibility report for Bloomfield 5 th — 8th Additions Street and Utility Improvements was presented and received by Council. As noted as part of the presentation, the feasibility report was prepared for multiple phases of the Bloomfield development to better address regional issues associated with the completion of street and utility improvements for the development and would be referred to with the completion of street and utility improvements for future phases. At this time, the developer for Bloomfield, Centex Homes, has requested that the City proceed with the preparation of plans and specifications for the Bloomfield 7 Addition, formerly named the Bloomfield 8th Addition. The former Bloomfield 7th Addition is now named Bloomfield Vineyards. Therefore, Staff is requesting Council authorization to prepare plans and specifications for the Bloomfield 7 Addition Street and Utility Improvements. RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE BLOOMFIELD 7 TH ADDITION STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS, CITY PROJECT #384. Brotzler, P.E., City Engineer AGEN 11 # 6 h ATTACHMENTS: Resolution APPROVED BY: t CITY OF ROSEMOUNT DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 2004 — A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR BLOOMFIELD 7 TH ADDITION STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT #384 WHEREAS, Centex Homes has requested the City of Rosemount prepare plans and specifications for Bloomfield 7 th Addition Street and Utility Improvements, City Project #384; and WHEREAS, Centex Homes has deposited the necessary funds with the City for preparation of the plans and specifications for City Project #384; and WHEREAS, Centex Homes. acknowledges that this action does not imply or guarantee City Council approval of the final plat for Bloomfield 7 th Addition. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Rosemount orders the preparation of plans and specifications for said improvements of City Project #384.
