PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS
FOR BROCKWAY REFLECTIONS ADDITION, CITY PROJECT #381.
ACTION:
BACKGROUND:
On July 6, 2004, Council authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for the
above- referenced project.
The plans and specifications address the construction of street and utility improvements
necessary for the development of Brockway Reflections Addition residential
development located north of Connemara Trail, east of Trunk Highway 3, south of
County Road 38 and west of Biscayne Avenue.
The proposed improvements include the construction of City streets that include
concrete curb and gutter and 5 -foot concrete sidewalks. Utility improvements include
the construction of lateral storm sewer and lateral and trunk watermain and sanitary
sewer. The majority of the public improvements for the Reflections Addition including
the first lift of bituminous pavement and all restoration items will not be completed until
Spring 2005, with the exception of some road construction to be completed for model .
home construction. The Brockway Reflections developer, CPDC, will be funding all
costs associated with the street and lateral utility improvements As previously
presented in the Feasibility Report for the Brockway Development Street and Utility
Improvements, City Core Funds will be utilized for trunk facility oversizing.

SUMMARY:
Staff recommends that Council receive the plans and specifications and authorize the
advertising of bid for the project.

A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS FOR
BROCKWAY REFLECTIONS ADDITION STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT #381
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount have ordered the preparation of plans and
specifications for the Brockway Reflections Addition Street and Utility lmprovements, City Project #381 and
such plans and specifications have been presented to this Council for approval:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota:
1. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the office of the City
Clerk.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City newspaper and the
Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements under such
approved plans and specifications for City Project #381.
3. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least once not less than three (3)
weeks before the date set for opening bids, shall specify the work to be done, shall state the bids will
be publicly opened at the Rosemount City Hall in said City and that no bids will be considered unless
sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or
certified check payable to the City Clerk for five (5 %) percent of the amount of such bid.
