RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO APPROVE PAYMENT #3 AND FINAL IN
THE AMOUNT OF $30,613.25 TO CLASSIC PROTECTIVE COATINGS,, INC., FOR
THE CHIPPENDALE TOWER IMPROVEMENTS, CITY PROJECT #374.
ACTION:
BACKGROUND:
The contractor for the Chippendale Tower Improvements, Classic Protective Coatings, Inc.
has completed all work associated with City Project #374. The amount due of $30,613.25 to
Classic Protective Coatings, Inc. requests the final payment to the contractor with a final total
contract amount of $290,405.00 with change orders. Attached is a letter of recommendation
from the City's project representative.
SUMMARY:
Staff recommends Council approval of Payment #3 and final in the amount of $30,613.25 to
Classic Protective Coatings, Inc. for the Chippendale Tower Improvements, City Project #374.

Dear Mr. Brotzler;
Classic Protective Coatings, Inc.. has submitted Progress Payment No. 3 (final payment)
in the amount of $30,613.25. KLM recommends the City of Rosemount approve this
payment.
Classic Protective Coatings, Inc.. has completed all the work per.the specification for the
500,000 gallon elevated water storage tank for the City of Rosemount, Minnesota.
Classic Protective Coatings, Inc. has also provided all the documentation regarding
closeout of this project. Painting on this project has been completed and KLM
recommends that you consider this project complete.
KLM also recommends that you have a two (2) year warranty inspection on the tower in
the spring of 2006 (warranty date is 6/7/04). Please call KLM to schedule this inspection
m approximately January of 2006. Please feel free to contact me if you have any
questions.
