SUMMARY
Demolition of the 44- year -old Brockway glass factory is a key step toward broadening the
housing options in Rosemount and helping to fund the revitalization of Downtown. Work at
the site has already changed the City's skyline and elicited comments and inquiries to staff.
Because of public safety considerations, no general notice was given by the contractor for
removal of the twin smokestacks at the site, but the City arranged for videotaping of the event
for historical and promotional purposes. A 90- second clip of the video will be reviewed for
Council Members.
