Jacob Rylander, a 2003 recruit, has submitted his resignation from the fire department. He is leaving the
Rosemount area due to his inability to locate housing.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION to accept the resignation of Jacob Rylander from the Rosemount
Fire Department with an effective date of December 31, 2003.

I Jacob M. Rylander Hereby place written notice to my resignation with the
City of Rosemount volunteer Fire / Rescue Department on this 31" day of
December, 2003.
Over the past five years I have come to gain a new level of respect and trust
for those within the department. I leave with a sense of honor knowing that
what I was able to accomplish as an explorer scout helped mold and
transition myself into the department as a full member. My only hope now
is someday to return here and once again work alongside well trained,
professional, and dedicated individuals such as yourselves.
I give a special thank you to those few individuals who helped in making the
explorer scout program what it is today. You're the example and reason
young person(s) such as I am able to go so far in this field in such a small
time. Again thank you and a final fair well to all.
