EXECUTIVE SUMMARY FOR ACTION
CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: JANUARY 20, 2004
Negotiations with the Teamsters Local 320 have been completed for a 2004 through 2005 contract.
The Collective Bargaining Unit and City have reached tentative agreements on the following items:
1 Article 20, Holidays: The Employer agrees to increase the amount of holiday time by including
language for:
➢ 4 hours floating holiday; and
➢ 4 hours -- floating holiday when Christmas Eve falls on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
2. Article 35, Clothing Allowance: The Employer agrees to changing the dates and amounts to:
2004 = $360 for Maintenance and $380 for Mechanics (an increase of $10 from 2003)
2005 = $370 for Maintenance and $390 for Mechanics
3. Appendix A Wages 2004: 2.75 % Maintenance /Mechanics
3% Custodian
2005: 3% Maintenance /Mechanics
3% Custodian
In addition, in memo format the City Administrator will allow the Teamsters to accrue compensatory
time to a maximum of forty hours. Employees are expected to give forty -eight hours notice of use of
such leave use but the Supervisor has the discretion of waiving such notice. Any pattern of misuse
of compensatory time would warrant a re- evaluation of the increase.

TEAMSTERS COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT FOR THE YEARS 2004 THROUGH 2005 AND TO
