ACTION: Motion to approve an extension of medical leave for Garr
Nelson to begin March 16, 2004 and continue until June 13, 2004.
ACTION:
ISSUE
BACKGROUND
Mr. Nelson has been on medical leave from his duties as firefighter since January 15, 2004
and is requesting additional leave through June 13, 2004. According to the Fire Department
Personnel Policy, "A medical leave of more than sixty (60) days requires city council
approval." Medical documentation has been received to warrant approval of this leave.
SUMMARY
I recommend approval of the extension of medical leave for Garr Nelson.
