ACTION:
ISSUE
This is an update to the City Council to let you know that the Halloween Committee will soon
be starting their organizational meetings for the 2004 event. In 2003 the Halloween
Committee organized an event that attracted approximately 1,500 people to Central Park.
The Committee involved nearly 70 volunteers to coordinate the event. If residents are
interested in volunteering to assist with with this year's event, they can contact the Parks and
Recreation Department and staff will put them in touch with the Halloween Event Committee.
Staff will also be working with the committee to fulfill the requirements of the City's Special
Event Policy.
