EXTEND THEIR WORK HOURS STARTING AT 6:00 A.M. INSTEAD OF THE
NORMAL 7:00 A.M.
ACTION:
BACKGROUND
Attached is a letter from E. H. Renner & Sons, the Contractor for Well #12, City Project
#354, requesting an expansion of working hours. Normal working hours as specified
are 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on
Saturdays. The Contractor is requesting an earlier start time of 6:00 a.m., Monday
through Friday. Because this area is within the Rosemount Business Park, Staff feels
this request is acceptable as the noise level will not affect any residential areas.
SUMMARY
Staff recommends the City Council approve the deviation from the City's current work
hours for this project.

Work Hours.

E.H. RENNER & SONS, INC. is requesting consideration for deviation in the work
hours for this project. Normal hours of work per City ordinance is from lam to 7pm
Monday through Friday. We are requesting an earlier start time of 6am to avoid the
longer travel period to the drill site from the Northern suburbs.
Because we are in an industrial part, this should not create any problems. We will be
worldntg an eight (8) hours shift from 6am to 2:30pin Monday through Friday. We do not
expect to work on Saturday but will keep the hours to 8:00am to 5:00 pm.
