RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve the hiring of David Addleman to ill the
police officer position approved in the 2004 Operating Budget.
This hiring is contingent
upon Mr. Addleman successfully completing the psychological and medical evaluations
required for the position and being eligible for licensure as a police officer in the State of
Minnesota.
ACTION:
ISSUE
An additional police officer position was approved in the 2004 Operating Budget with an
anticipated hiring date of September 1, 2004.
BACKGROUND
A selection process for this position was conducted in which 80+ applications were received.
SUMMARY -
After completion of the selection process, staff recommends that Mr. David Addleman be
hired as the next police officer for the Rosemount Police Department. Addleman is a 2004
graduate of Minnesota State University — Mankato with a bachelor's degree in law
enforcement. He is originally from Burnsville.
If approved, Mr. Addleman will begin his employment on September 8, 2004.
