AAJ -0 tJ ATTACHMENTS: NONE APPROVED BY: For City Council consideration is a recommendation to hire Mr. Alan Cox for the position of Communications Coordinator. The City received seventy -eight applications from people who were interested in filling this position. After close evaluation and several meetings, the interviewing panel has determined that Mr. Cox most closely matches the qualifications for filling the position. Most recently, Mr. Cox has worked as an independent consultant — creating intranets and processing government reports. From 1981 to 2002, he was a television reporter for WCCO who specialized in data analysis. He will start working for the City of Rosemount on March 15, pending Council approval. RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO APPROVE THE HIRING OF ALAN COX FOR THE POSITION OF COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR. COUNCIL ACTION:
