RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to award the 2004 — 2008 Full Service Beverage
Contract for the Community Center to Pepsi Cola.
ACTION:
ISSUE:
The current full service beverage contract for the Community Center is coming to an end.
Staff have sent out a Request for Proposal for a new contract.
BACKGROUND:
The full service beverage contract for the Community Center includes vending machines,
postmix,,bottles and service. The bottling company who is awarded the contract is the sole
provider of beverages to the City at the Community Center.
SUMMARY
Staff have received two proposals for full service beverage services at the Community
Center. Pepsi Cola has submitted a proposal that is valued at $8,800 for each year of the
contract in marketing support plus sales commissions. Coca -Cola has submitted a proposal
to provide $8,500 in marketing support in the first year and $1,000 each year after.
Based on the proposals submitted, Staff is recommending Pepsi Cola be awarded the 2004-
2008 Full Service Beverage Contract for the Community Center.
