RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve Change Order #1 for Reflections Addition
Street and Utility Improvements, City Project #381 and authorize necessary signatures.
ACTION:
BACKGROUND:
Change Order #1, Reflections Addition Street and Utility. Improvements includes the addition
of $149,835.00 to the original contract amount of $2,115,903.65, fora new total of
$2,265,738.65. The work included under Change Order #1 was the following:
1. Addition of 3 -inch minus rock to the road base for road stabilization due to ,a poor
subgrade that consisted of an oversaturated, silty clay material.
2. A temporary bituminous mat as requested by the developer for the issuance of
building permits. A condition of allowing building permits with, a temporary mat is
that the builder will stop all housing construction when the City's contractor
commences utility and road construction in the spring of 2005.
3. The removal of the temporary bituminous mat. The temporary mat will be
reclaimed and mixed with the existing Class V when road construction commences
in the spring of 2005.
All work included as part of Change Order #1 was either at the request of the developer,
CPDC, or agreed upon by the developer, contractor and City staff, and will be funded by the
developer.
