RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to adopt a resolution authorizing a feasibility report for
the 2005 Pavement Management Project, City Project #392
ACTION:
BACKGROUND:
The newly implemented Pavement Management Program has designated the streets within
the Rose Park Addition, within Rahn's 1 st through 8 th Additions, Dodd Court, and 130 Street
West for maintenance in 2005. The pavement condition index (PC[) rating and additional
visual inspection will determine if a street will require an overlay, rehabilitation or a full
reconstruction. At this time, staff is requesting Council authorization to prepare a feasibility
report for the 2005 Pavement Management Project. Preparation of the feasibility report at
this time will allow for the completion of preliminary field work prior to winter and completing
the project documents by late spring of 2005 to accommodate an early to mid- summer, 2005
construction start.
SUMMARY:
Staff is requesting Council authorization to prepare a feasibility report for the 2005 Pavement
Management Project.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount deems it necessary to investigate the feasibility
of the 2005 Pavement Management Project, City Project #392.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Staff is directed to have the necessary feasibility report
prepared for the 2005 Pavement Management Project, City Project #392.
ADOPTED this 7 day of December, 2004.
