The bids will then be tabulated and reviewed for accuracy before a recommendation can be made. This project includes the installation of a new SCADA System that will control the City's water system and monitor the sanitary sewer and storm sewer lift stations. This project is being funded by the City's utility funds. SUMMARY: The tabulation of bidders, resolution and letter of recommendation to award will be provided at the Council meeting. City of Rosemount SCADA- System Dear Mr. Brotzler: On Friday, November 12, bids were received for the proposed SCADA system for the water, wastewater and stormwater systems for the City. Four bids were received. The bids were as follows: Instrument Control Systems $ 615,000.00 Automatic Systems Company $ 432,000.00 In Control Inc. $ 394,600.00 US Filter Control $ 371,472.00 The US Filter Control Systems bid was reviewed. The bid is in order, they acknowledged receipt of the addenda for the project, and took no exceptions to the plans and specifications. On Monday, November 15, I talked with.representatives of US Filter Control Systems, and they indicated that they were comfortable with their bid and were prepared to move ahead with the project. US Filter Control Systems is also the integrator who provided the components of the system presently in place in the City., Therefore, the City has experience with this vendor. US Filter Control Systems is one of the integrators who complied with the pre - qualification package for the project. As a result, the recommendation is to award a contract to US Filter Control Systems for the project. u have questions or require additional information, please contact me. CITY OF ROSEMOUNT DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 2004 — A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR 2004 SCADA SYSTEM CITY PROJECT #377 WHEREAS, City Council hereby ratifies action of the City Engineer to advertise for bids. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota as follows: 1. All bids on construction of the 2004 SCADA System have been received and tabulated. 2. The bid of US Filter Control, in the amount of $371,472.00, for the construction of said improvements is in accordance with the plans and specifications and advertisement for bids and is the lowest responsible bid and shall be and hereby is accepted. 3. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of Rosemount. 4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been executed. 5. Award of the bid is contingent on the determination by the City Administrator that all necessary right -of -entry or easements by deed or dedication have been secured for construction of the improvements.
