RECOMMENDED ACTION: Publicly thank the trained election judges for their support of an
election that was conducted with accuracy and integrity.
COUNCIL ACTION:
BACKGROUND
There were 87 trained election judges who were scheduled at seven polling locations in Rosemount on
September 14' for the Minnesota Primary Election. It was a stormy day and voter turn out was at 4%
for Rosemount. For the first time election judges this was a dress rehearsal for the Presidential/General
Election to be held on November 2, 2004.
Election results for the Primary are canvassed by Dakota County.
CONCLUSION
City Staff would like to publicly thank the election judges for finding time in their busy lives to
participate in the election process and for them sincerely committing to a fair and accurate election.
