LELS Sergeants Labor Agreement 2004-2005CITY OF ROSEMOUNT EXECUTIVE SUMMARY FOR ACTION CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: March 16, 2004 AGENDA ITEM: LELS Su erviso Unit Labor AGENDA SECTION: Negotiations with the Law` Enforcement Labor Services, Local #223 Supervisory Unit, have been completed for a 2004 through 2005 contract. The Collective Bargaining Unit and City have reached a tentative agreement on the following items: 1. Article 16, Clothing Allowance: The Employer agrees to changing the dates and amounts to: 2004 = $640 (an increase of $20 from 2003) 2005 =$660 2. Article 17, Longevity: In 2005, the Employer agrees to increase the amount of longevity pay to match that of police officers. 2004 2005 After 5 years: 1 % After 5 years: 3% After 8 years: 2% After 8 years: 5% " After 12 years: 3% After 12 years: 7% After 16 years: 4% After 16 years: 9% 3. Article 22, Holidays: The Employer agrees to increase the amount of holiday time by including language for: ➢ 8 hours floating holiday (non- cumulative) This would bring the Sergeants to total of 12 "holidays." 4. Appendix A Wages 2004: 2% on January 1 2% on June 1 2005:` 3% on January 1 In addition, the Sergeants have agreed to include a policy on controlled substance and alcohol testing within the contract.
