On February 17, 2004, Council authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for the
above- referenced project.
The plans and specifications address the reconstruction of approximately 4,380 feet of 28 -foot
urban section street and 620 feet of 30 -foot urban section street complete with bituminous
paving, concrete curb & gutter and utility improvements throughout the project area. All public
improvements including the final lift of bituminous and restoration will be completed in 2004.
Funding for the project will consist of special assessments, 2004 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) -
fi,mds and utility funds as necessary. The proposed assessment rate is $2,400 per lot in
accordance with City's policy and the current fee schedule.
A copy of the plans and specifications is on file in the Engineering Department.
Staff recommends that Council receive the plans and specifications and authorize the advertising
of bids for this project.

A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS FOR
2004 STREET AND UTILITY RECONSTRUCTION IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT #376
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount have ordered the preparation of plans and
specifications for the 2004 Street and Utility Reconstruction lmprovements, City Project #376 and such
plans and specifications have been presented to this Council for approval
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota:
1 Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the office of the City
Clerk.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City newspaper and the
Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements under such
approved plans and specifications, for. City Project #376.
3. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least once not less than three (3)
weeks before the date set for opening bids, shall specify the work to be done, shall state the bids will
be publicly opened on April 16, 2004 at 10:00 o'clock a.m. at the Rosemount City Hall in said City
and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a
cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five (5 %)
percent of the amount of such bid.
