As noted, this change order includes the addition of security lighting to the tower structure that will be motion operated. The total amount of Change Order #1 is $2,940.00 for revised total contract amount of $290,405.00. Staff recommends Council approval of this item. KLM ENGI EERIN INC. P.O. N 7670 State Highway 25 Menomonie, WI 54751 RE: Change Order No. I — Installation of Security Light during Reconditioning of Chippendale Tower in Rosemount, MN KLM Project MN 1830 KIM Engineering, Inc. recommends approval of the following change order to the specifications and contract for the above referenced project. Final approval by the City Council is required for this Change Order to be included in the scope of work. Approval by the City Council is indicated by the City Administrator's signature on this form. Receipt of a completed copy of this letter authorizes Classic Protective Coatings to proceed with this work listed on this Change Order in conjunction with the project.: 1. Furnish and install all items necessary for an exterior security light on the support _ column adjacent to the ladder,, including light, motion sensor electrical and conduit. The fixture(s) shall use one (1) 300 watt or two (2) 150 watt bulbs. Lights shall be controlled by a motion sensor set to detect motion on-the ladder, with .a minimum 180 degree field of detection. The light and motion sensor shall have watertight construction and fittings. The light and motion detector shall have options for daylight shutoff, sensitivity and position adjustment, manual override, and shall allow for adjustment to the length of time the light will stay on after motion is detected. 2. Light system shall be tied directly into existing power supply, on a separate circuit if available. 3. Light and sensor shall be permanently attached to the support column or strut, as directed by the Engineer. Con r agrees to perform the above items for a price of $2,940.00.
