ATTACHMENTS: TERM LIST
APPROVED BY:
CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION: FEBRUARY 11, 2004
Commissioners have reported back on their desire to re -apply for their commission seat or not. Council
has the option to interview the interested commissioners. Department Heads should make
recommendations regarding attendance. I am not aware of any concerns or shortcomings of any of the
commissioner.
Planning: Jeff Weisensel is not seeking re- appointment.
Myron Napper will consider re- appointment if no one applies from east Rosemount
Parks & Rec: Michael Eliason would like to be considered for re- appointment.
Phillip Sterner would like to be considered for re- appointment.
Utilities: Don Berg will consider re- appointment if there are no other qualified applicants.
SKB: Matthew Kearney
This would leave two Planning commissioners, one Utilities commissioner, and one SKB trustee
positions open for appointment. In the event we do not find one applicant in Planning and one in
Utilities commissions, the current commissioners will consider appointment for another three -year term.

RE: Applications for Commission Vacancies Being Taken
The City of Rosemount is seeking volunteers to serve as members on several city
advisory commissions, including the Planning, Parks & Recreation, and Utilities
Commissions. The City Council will interview candidates and make appointments.
There is also an opening on the SKB Board of Trustees that requires appointment by the
Mayor. The Port Authority does not have any resident positions open this year for
appointment.
Commission terms begin on April 1, 2004. Appointments are for three -year terms.
Commissioners receive a $35 stipend for each meeting they attend. Regular meetings for
the Planning Commission are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month, the
Parks and Recreation Commission meets on the fourth Monday of each month, and the
Utilities Commission meets on the first Monday of the month following the first regular
City Council meeting.
Those interested in serving on a Commission or as a SKB Trustee can stop by City Hall
and pick up an application. Commission application forms are also available at the City's
website — www.ci.rosemount.mn.us Applications are due by February 16, 2004.
