ACTION:
ISSUE
The City of Rosemount worked with the Dakota County Library Board and members of the
Dakota County staff in 2003 to narrow future potential site locations for a Rosemount branch
library to three possibilities.
BACKGROUND
The three sites identified included the St. Joseph Catholic Church campus on South Robert
Trail, the "Ratzlaff block" in downtown between 146 and 147 Streets on the east side of
South Robert Trail, and the vacant land known as the "Sunrise Lumber Site" on the east side
South Robert Trail north of the St. Joseph Cemetery.
SUMMARY
Staff will update Council on the progress thus far related to pursuit of a site for the future
library.
