ACTION:
ISSUE
The Downtown Redevelopment Committee is nearing the end of their assignment to forward
a framework for downtown revitalization to the Port Authority and City Council for
consideration. One of the next steps in the process is the development of design guidelines
to accompany the framework.
BACKGROUND
Community Development Director Lindquist has been pulling together materials and
information to begin drafting design guidelines. Staff suggests that the Downtown Committee
may be an appropriate place to review those drafts. It would likely require an additional 2 -3
meetings of the committee.
SUMMARY
If Council is comfortable with this approach, Director Lindquist will ask the Committee if they
are interested in continuing to meet at the Committee meeting planned for May 13.
