Staff was asked to gather information from the City Attorney and Cable Coordinator on other open dates for
Council Meetings. The attached memorandum from City Clerk Linda Jentink shows that the only available
dates are the first and third Thursdays of the month.
This item is on the agenda for Council consideration because of scheduling conflicts of incoming Council with
the current meeting dates of Tuesdays.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO MOVE THE REGULARLY SCHEDULED COUNCIL
MEETING TIMES TO THE FIRST AND THIRD THURSDAY OF THE MONTH BEGINNING
AND ENDING ON

I have contacted our City Attorney and our Cable Coordinator about the possibility of changing the day
of the regular council meetings. The Cable Coordinator was quite concerned about being able to get
additional cable staff to work another evening. We reviewed the current schedules and the 1 st and 3rd
Thursday was the only time that our City Attorney and cable casting could be coordinated.
Here are the current schedules:
City Attorney LeFevere booked for:
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Mondays
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Tuesdays
2nd and 4th Wednesday
Available:
1 st & 3rd Wednesdays or
1, 2, 3, 4 Thurdays
Mark Moore, Cable Coordinator Schedule:
1 st & 3rd Monday — Farmington City Council
1 st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Tuesday — Rsmt Planning and Council
1 st & 3rd Wednesday — Apple Valley Planning
2nd & 4th Thursday - Apple Valley. Council
Available: 2nd & 4th Wednesdays or
1st & 3rd Thursdays
I would like to inform you that I would not be available on Wednesdays due to religious meetings.
City staff will try to make themselves available when needed.
