MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor Droste and Council Members
City Administrator Verbrugge,
FROM: Gary D. Kalstabakken
Chief of Police
DATE: May 28, 2003
SUBJECT: 3.2% Malt Liquor License Renewals
Abackground check on each of the license applicants was conducted. There was nothing
discovered in the checks to preclude any of the applicants from having their license
renewed.
In reviewing the calls for service data from each of the establishments, it was verified that
there have not been any problems at any of the establishments in the past 12 months
related to their liquor licenses. Compliance checks were conducted earlier this year and
each of the businesses checked did pass the check by asking for identification and
refusing to sell to the underage buyer.
There was nothing discovered in either of these checks that should prevent the licenses
from being renewed.
