EXECUTIVE SUMMARY FOR ACTION
CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: OCTOBER 7, 2003
Independent School District 196 will be holding board elections on November 4 2003. Minnesota State
Statutes require that no public meetings be held between 6 :00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. Therefore,
staff requests that the regular City Council meeting be changed to Monday, November 3r beginning at 7:30
p.m
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to change the date of the regular City Council meeting from
November 4, to November 3, 2003, at 7:30 p.m.

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Rosemount in Dakota County, Minnesota
will hold its first regular meeting in November on Monday, November 3, 2003, at City Hall, located
at 2875 145th Street West, Rosemount, Mimnesota, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
This meeting change is due to Independent School District 196 holding its school board elections on
November 4 and the State Law which restricts public meetings between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and
8:00 P.M.
