EXECUTIVE SUMMARY FOR ACTION
CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: December 2, 2003
Change Order #2, Bloomfield Vineyards Improvements includes an amendment to the contract for adding the
items shown in the Change Order No. 2 detail. The amount of Change Order #2 is $6,500.00 for a revised
contract price of $521,120.79. There is no change in the contract schedule as part of this change order.
Staff requests Council approval of this item.

Dear Mayor and Council Members:
Please find enclosed Change Order No. 2 for the above- referenced project. Change Order
No. 2 is necessary because Centex Homes, the developer for this project, did not own the
' "Mina Property" as soon as they expected. Subsequently, our contractor was not able to
complete their work that entailed jacking utilities from this project under the railroad tracks and
into the "Mines Property." Erickson Construction was required to re- mobilize their crews after
Centex closed on the property. This re- mobilization is the only item indicated on this chan ge
order. We recommend approval of this change order as detailed.
