The City Council wishes to have additional time to examine information on complicated issues and the
proposed budget for 2004 in July. In order to accomplish this, staff suggests that the regular work
session (Committee of the Whole) be started earlier on July 9 and a special meeting be called to be held
during the time Port Authority would have had a work session, July 15.
Staff recommends starting the July 9 th Committee of the Whole at 5:30 p.m. and holding a special
meeting on July 15 at 6:00 p.m. to review numerous issues and the proposed budget for 2004. Mayor
Droste noted he would be willing to continue the work session following the regularly scheduled City
Council meeting on July 15 th.
Staff would also like to notice those interested that the City Council will be present at many of the
Leprechaun Days events and that if a quorum is present, no business will be conducted or discussed at
these events. These events are held between July 19 and July 27
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION to change the start time of the July 9, 2003 Committee of
the Whole to 5:30 p.m. and hold a special meeting on July 15 at 6:00 p.m. for a work session that may
be continued following the regular City Council meeting of July 15.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Rosemount in Dakota County,
Minnesota will be holding changing the start time of its regularly scheduled Committee of the
Whole to 5:30 p.m. on July 9, 2003. It is held at the Rosemount City Hall, 2875 145t Street
West, Rosemount, Minnesota.
The purpose of the meeting is to examine various issues and the proposed budget for 2004.
Comments from the public in this forum are not generally solicited.

Minnesota will be attending Leprechaun Days events in part or as a quorum from July 19 to
July 27 in order to encourage participation by residents in these events. No city business will be
conducted during these events. The event locations vary throughout the City of Rosemount.
