Re: City of Rosemount
Standby Generation
Dear Mr. Brotzler:
On Friday, March 14, bids for the portable standby generator for the City were received. This project also
included modifications to the existing generator's electrical connections and provisions for connecting the
generators at the lift stations. Three bids were received. They included:
Systems by Design; Centerville MN $ 92,440
Electrical Installation & Maintenance; Maple Plain MN $ 123,400
Seaforth Electric; Pine Island MN $ 138,800
We have been involved with projects in Anoka and Waseca, Minnesota, where Systems by Design has been
the electrical contractor. Those projects were completed.
Systems by Design was contacted on March 14, and they indicated that their bid was based on a portable
generator furnished by Ziegler Power Systems, Inc., and the modifications to the existing portable machine
will also be completed by Ziegler Power Systems, Inc., the original supplier of the generator.
Based on the previous project experience and their intent on using products by Ziegler, the recommendation
offered is to award the project to Systems by Design, Inc.
If ve questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you.
incerely,
