Set Public Hearing to Cacate Drainage & Utility Easement in Glendalough 2nd Addition41 CITY OF ROSEMOUNT EXECUTIVE SUMMARY FOR ACTION CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: May 20, 2003 AGENDA ITEM: Set Public Hearing, Vacation of Drainage & Utility AGENDA SECTION: Easement in Glendalough 2nd Addition, Lot 1, Block 1 Consent PREPARED BY: Andrew Brotzler, P.E. �( AGEND ' City Engineer ATTACHMENTS: Resolution, Plat excerpt APPROVED BY: As part of the platting process for the Glendalough 3rd Addition plat, Lundgren Brothers has requested the vacation of an existing drainage and utility easement on Lot 1, Block 1 of Glendalough 2nd Addition. At the time of platting of Glendalough 3 Addition, new drainage and utility easements will be dedicated consistent with the new lot configuration. Because the easement was dedicated for public use (drainage & utilities), a public hearing is required to vacate it. Staff is recommending setting a public hearing for June 3, 2003 to consider this vacation. RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING VACATING THE DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT IN GLENDALOUGH 2" ADDITION. COUNCIL ACTION: CITY OF ROSEMOUNT DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 2003- A RESOLUTION SETTING THE PUBLIC HEARING VACATING THE DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT IN GLENDALOUGH 2 ND ADDITION WHEREAS, a drainage and utility easement vacation is required on Lot 1, Block 1 Glendalough 2nd Addition. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ROSEMOUNT, MINNESOTA: 1. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed easement vacation on the 3rd day of June, 2003, in the Council Chambers of the Rosemount City Hall at 7:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible and the Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law.
