The event, to be held on Friday, October 24, is called The Big Fun Event. It will be held at Mendakota Country Club. The City of Rosemount has supported this effort by preparing a "Best of Rosemount" gift basket of donated items from merchants and businesses in the community. The basket will be among many items available as part of the silent auction. Proceeds from The Big Fun Event go to the NDC Charitable Foundation. The mission of the Foundation is to foster a healthy business environment through several initiatives, including Leadership Development, WorkForce Education, and Business Resource Development. Well, we've simplified the whole matter and are pleased to announce the solution to doing both! Mission: Fostering a healthy business environment by supporting education, leadership development and business resource initiatives in our Community. Here's the kicker; all of the proceeds from the event go directly back into the community specifically to the Northern Dakota County Chamber Charitable Foundation. The Foundation supports the community by furthering initiatives in Leadership Development, Workforce Education, and Business Resource Expansion. That also means a portion of your contribution is tax - deductible as a charitable donation So, mark your calendars immediately, call your baby- sitter and get it scheduled, and brace yourself for a night of good times and good cause that you won't soon forget! Initiatives: Leadership Development Providing support for the chamber members to receive training so they may grow into camber, business, and community leaders. WorkForce Education Developing and supporting initiatives, to help provide necessary educational opportunities for a healthy workforce. Business Resource Development Providing resources that business need, such as updated technology and meeting space that promotes good communication among its members and the community. History: More than a decade ago, the leadership of the Northern Dakota County Chambers of Commerce established, The NDC Charitable Foundation to support business - related community needs. Volunteer opportunities with the Foundation align business owners and employees with community initiatives. The Foundation enhances the scope and reach of the NDC and its business members.
