Aina Wiklund is applying to the Dakota County Farmland and Natural Areas Program to preserve a 25 -acre
parcel she owns at 12110 Bacardi Avenue. A grant application is also being submitted to the DNR Metro
Greenway program for the permanent preservation of her property.
Attached is a resolution supporting the permanent preservation of the Wiklund property.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to adopt A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE
PERMANENT PRESERVATION OF THE WIKLUND PROPERTY at 12110 Bacardi Avenue.

RESOLUTION 2003-
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE PERMENANT PRESERVATION OF THE
WIKLUND PROPERTY
WHEREAS, The City of Rosemount participated in a planning process to create a multi -
jurisdictional implementation strategy proposed for greenways.
WHEREAS, the conservation easements and greenways can be a valuable tool for the
preservation of open space and wildlife corridors.
WHEREAS, the City of Rosemount supports the preservation and restoration of open space
for its positive impact on our community's natural resources.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount
adopts a resolution to support the permanent preservation of the property owned by Iana
Wiklund at 12110 Bacardi Avenue, Rosemount, MN 55068.
ADOPTED this 16th of September, 2003.
