Terry's Ace Hardware earned a Consumers' Checkbook top rating for quality and price. We are proud, but not
surprised, because all in Rosemount know that if you have any do -it- yourself type questions on projects, Ace
Hardware is the place to go. Now we have metropolitan proof from a customer's source, the Consumers'
Checkbook.
We commend Chuck and Darlene Terry for the outstanding job they do with customers and the positive
notoriety they bring to Rosemount.
Mayor Droste will present a certificate to honor Terry's Ace Hardware

Terry's Ace Hardware on South Robert Trail in Rosemount earned the highest
scores of any hardware store in the Twin Cities.
Prices here are about 12% lower than average. 89% of customers surveyed
call the overall quality of service at Terry's "superior."
Chuck Terry said, "It's not like we're just displaying merchandise for people to
come in a buy off the shelf and leave."
Determining the customer's need is important. Chuck said, "they may know
exactly what they need and just need to find it, or they may not know what
they need and need some help or advice."
Bigger chain hardware stores, like Menards or Home Depot beat most other
stores on variety and price, but Consumers' Checkbook President Robert
Krughoff says they don't go far enough to help the consumer.
Krughoff said, "you can't solve the problem for most consumers by having
seminars or by having classes or whatever. That's helpful and it's a nice thing
to do, but I need to know how to fit this thing in here and if that doesn't work
can I get something else that will be a good substitute for it."
Customers at Terry's Ace Hardware agree. When asked about this store, Terry
Seasholtz said, "the people, no doubt about it." z
Bill Janssen said, "service and the quality of what they have."
