On Friday, July 11, 2003, bids for the referenced project will be received and read aloud publicly. This project
includes the construction of City streets that include concrete curb & gutter and a 5 -foot concrete sidewalk.
Utility improvements include the construction of lateral storm sewer .and lateral and trunk watermain and
sanitary sewer. The majority of the public improvements for the Vineyards Addition, including the first lift of
bituminous pavement and all relocation items will be completed in 2003. The Bloomfield developer, Centex
Homes, will be funding all costs associated with the street and lateral utility improvements as previously
presented in the Feasibility Report for Bloomfield 5`" - 8 Addition Street and Utility Improvements. City Core
Funds will be utilized for trunk facility oversizing costs.
The tabulation of bidders, resolution and letter of recommendation to award will be provided at the Council
meeting,
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND
AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE BLOOMFIELD VINEYARDS STREET AND UTILITY

RESOLUTION 2003
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT
FOR THE BLOOMFIELD 7TH ADDITION STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT NO. 368
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota, as follows:
1. All bids on construction of the Bloomfield 7"' Addition Street and Utility Improvements
have been received and tabulated.
2. The bid of Erickson Construction, Inc. in the amount of $477,102.21 for the construction
of said improvements is in accordance with the plans and specifications and
advertisement for bids and is the lowest responsible bid and shall be and hereby is
accepted.
3. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said
bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of
Rosemount.
4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of all successful bidder and the next
two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been executed.
5. Award of the bid is contingent on the determination by the City Administrator that all
necessary rights -of -entry or easements by deed or dedication have been secured for
construction of the improvements.
ADOPTED this 15 day of July, 2003.

Dear Mayor and Council Members:
Bids were received for the above- referenced project on Friday, July 11, 2003, and were
opened and read aloud. A total of five bids were received. The bids were checked for
mathematical accuracy and tabulated. Please find enclosed the bid tabulation indicating the
low bidder as Erickson Construction, Inc., Burnsville, Minnesota in the amount of
$477,102.21.
We recommend that the City Council consider these bids and award a contract to Erickson
Construction, Inc. based on the results of the bids received.
