This item has been discussed with past City Council members and current members serving on the Parks and
Recreation Commission. The past Council discussed a monument sign for City Hall and a final decision was not
reached as to the type and location of a monument sign. The Parks and Recreation Commission recently discussed
the topic of park signs and thought we should be consistent throughout the park system with whatever is being used
to identify a city park. Staff would like to get direction from the Council regarding what approach to take for City
signage.
