This item is on the agenda for Council approval of the plans and specifications for the project, and authorization
to advertise for bids. A copy of the plans and specifications for the project are on file in the Engineering
Department for your review.
This project includes the construction of trunk watermain from existing trunk facilities located within the
Bloomfield Development, east to existing trunk facilities located along 140` Street at Trunk Highway 52. This
project is the second phase of an overall project intended to provide municipal water service to the industrial
area located along Trunk Highway 52. The first phase of the project included the construction of the Eastside
Water Tower and trunk watermain along Trunk Highway 52, Trunk Highway 55 and 140` Street. This
proposed second phase of the project will provide the needed connection between the City's main water system
and the Eastside Water system. This project will be funded with Water Core Funds. Dakota County Technical
College is proposed to be assessed for benefit associated with the extension of a new water service to their
property.
Staff recommends Council approval of the plans and specifications for the project and authorization to advertise
for bids.

RESOLUTION 2003 -
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS FOR
EASTSIDE WATERMAIN PHASE 2 IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT #345
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount have ordered the preparation of plans and
specifications for Eastside Watermain Phase 2 Improvements, City Project #345 and such plans and
specifications have been presented to this Council for approval:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota:
1. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the office of the City
Clerk.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City newspaper and the
Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements under such
approved plans and specifications for City Project #345.
3. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least once not less than three (3)
weeks before the date set for opening bids, shall specify the work to be done, shall state the bids will
be publicly opened at the Rosemount City Hall in said City and that no bids will be considered
unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid
bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five (5 %) percent of the amount of such bid.
