This is a request for Council to declare the items listed below as surplus equipment.

The equipment was part of the Community Center / National Guard workout room at the Rosemount
Community Center. In 1996, the City closed the room to the public because of a lack of use by the public. The
equipment was kept for the National Guard to use. The Guard recently asked that the equipment listed above be
removed from the room. The equipment is outdated and in average to poor condition.
If declared surplus, staff will send out invitations to vendors to provide a sealed bid for the purchase of the
exercise equipment from the City or we will dispose of the equipment.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to declare the following items surplus equipment; chest press with
weights, abdominal board, lat pull machine, leg extension machine, arm press machine, bench weight,
weight rack with weights. .
