RE: Completion of probationary period by firefighters
As of June 1 2002, Bob Golla, Chris Dyson, Steve Turner, will have completed
all requirements that the Rosemount Fire Department has for probationary
firefighters. According to Fire Department Personnel Policy, page 2, Section 5,
"Upon completion of two years membership with the department, a firefighter will
be eligible for consideration as a regular firefighter and taken off probationary
status."
All three of these firefighters have completed their two years sometime ago. Due
to scheduling difficulties were completed until this time. At the present time all
three firefighters are certified by the state, at the Firefighter 1 Level, are also
certified as First Responders, and have received their hazardous material
training. They have finished their probationary project with the fire department
and have kept their fire calls and emergency response percents above the
required level.
As Fire Chief, I recommend that Bob Golla, Chris Dyson, and Steve T urner be
considered regular firefighters affective June 1, 2002.
