This item is for Council consideration to not allow parking on either side Connemara Trail from Shannon
Parkway to Trunk Highway 3. As Connemara Trail is a Collector Municipal State Aid Street with limited
access and based on the projected traffic volumes on the street, it is appropriate that on- street parking not be
permitted.
Therefore, Staff is recommending Council adopt the attached resolution, which prohibits parking on Connemara
Trail from Shannon Parkway to Trunk Highway 3.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION DIRECTING PLACEMENT OF
NO PARKING SIGNS ALONG BOTH SIDES OF CONNEMARA TRAIL FROM SHANNON PARKWAY
TO TRUNK HIGHWAY 3.

RESOLUTION 2002 —
A RESOLUTION DIRECTING PLACEMENT OF NO PARKING SIGNS
ALONG BOTH SIDES OF CONNEMARA TRAIL
FROM SHANNON PARKWAY TO TRUNK HIGHWAY 3.

WHEREAS, the Connemara Trail Street & Utility Improvements will be constructed in
2002 as City Project #330, and the project includes the construction of Connemara Trail
between Shannon Parkway to Trunk Highway 3; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount is interested in the safety of its
residents; and
WHEREAS, the continued development in the City of Rosemount has produced high volumes
of vehicular and pedestrian traffic within the City of Rosemount; and
WHEREAS, vehicle parking along both sides of Connemara Trail from Shannon Parkway to
Trunk Highway 3 does create a hazard.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount directs
the installation of the appropriate "No Parking" signs on both sides of Connemara Trail from
Shannon Parkway to Trunk Highway 3.
ADOPTED this 18 day of June, 2002.
