Brotzler, P.E., City Engineer AGEND ATTACHMENTS: Resolution, Change Order #l, Bid Tabulation and APPROVED BY: Letter of Recommendation from WSB & Associates, Inc. > On Friday, May 31, 2002, seven (7) bids for the referenced project were received and read aloud publicly. This project includes street and utility improvements to Evermoor Glendalough. The tabulation of bidders, resolution and letter of recommendation to award the contract is attached. Also attached for Council approval is a copy of Change Order #1, which includes revisions to the plan quantities. These revisions are a result of changes made to the grading plan by the developer. RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR EVERMOOR GLENDALOUGH STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS, CITY PROJECT #347. MOTION TO AUTHORIZE CHANGE ORDER #I FOR EVERMOOR GLENDALOUGH STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS, CITY PROJECT #347 AND OBTAIN THE NECESSARY SIGNATURES. COUNCIL ACTION: �3 CITY OF ROSEMOUNT DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 2002 — A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR EVERMOOR GLENDALOUGH STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT #347 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota, as follows: All bids on construction of the Evermoor Glendalough Street and Utility Improvements are hereby received and tabulated. 2. The bid of S. J. Louis Construction, Inc., in the amount of $631,670.70 for the construction of said improvements are in accordance with the plans and specifications and advertisement for bids is the lowest responsible bid and shall be and hereby is accepted. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of Rosemount. 4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of all successful bidder and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been executed. 5. Award of the bid is contingent on the determination by the City Administrator that all necessary rights -of -entry or easements by deed or dedication have been secured for construction of the improvements. St. Cloud, Minnesota in the amount of $631,670.70. We recommend that the City Council consider these bids and award a contract to S. J.
