Redesignation of Certain Prior Years' Encumbrances AGENDA SECTION: Consent PREPARED BY: Jeff May, Finance Director AG NDA b ATTACHMENTS: Resolution APPROVED COUNCIL MEETING DATE May 21, 2002 CITY OF ROSEMOUNT EXECUTIVE SUMMARY FOR ACTION This item is on the agenda for consideration of the redesignation of certain items from previous years' encumbrances to more appropriate uses in the General Fund We have discussed this in the past at a work session to help fund the Fee Study and Transportation Study that we are currently undertaking We are also redesignating unused Fire Station Parking Lot funds to help pay for the land acquisition for a 2 fire station to help complement the funds already encumbered for that purpose. The dollar amounts for each of these items are included in the attached resolution RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to adopt A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REDESIGNATION OF CERTAIN PRIOR YEARS' ENCUMBRANCES COUNCIL ACTION: CITY OF ROSEMOUNT DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 2002 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REDESIGNATION OF CERTAIN PRIOR YEARS' ENCUMBRANCES WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need to redesignate certain items from previous years' encumbrances to more appropriate uses in the General Fund, which are summarized as follows (1) General Fund items that total an amount of $34,600 00 for the "Fee Study (2) General Fund items that total an amount of $20,745 46 for the "Transportation Study (3) General Fund items that total an amount of $14,436 00 for the "Fire Station Land" NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount hereby approves the redesignation of the above listed encumbrance items ADOPTED this 21 day of May, 2002 ATTEST Linda J Jentink, City Clerk Cathy Busho, Mayor Motion by Seconded by Voted in favor Voted Against Members Absent
