I have four requests for temporary liquor licenses as follows
KVAMS Softball will be holding a tournament at Erickson Park on July 20- 21 This is for a
Temporary On -Sale 3 2% Malt Liquor License and the beer would be sold from the pavilion
KVAMS has held tournaments in past years without any problems
2. Rosemount Jaycee's are requesting a Temporary On -Sale 3 2% Malt Liquor License for their
beer gardens during Leprechaun Days, July 26, 27, and 28 It is planned to be held in one of the
hockey rinks
Rosemount VFW 9433 has requested a Temporary On -Sale Liquor License outside their building
on the north side of the parking lot during the Tractor Pull Exhibition This area will have
temporary fencing The Tractor Pull is held on Sunday, July 28`
The Rosemount American Legion has requested a Temporary On -Sale Liquor License outside in
their pavilion to host four events Wed July 24, 4 -8 pm, refreshments during the Big Wheel Race
and Penny Toss, Thurs July 25, 4 -9 pm Bingo, Fri July 26, 4 -10 pm, Steak Under the Stars, and
Sat. July 27, 11 am close, BBQ and Com on the Cob These will be in their parking lot at
14590 Burma Avenue They will use their pavilion and patio, which will be enclosed with a
temporary fence to serve liquor and food There is a 3 -day limit per license, so two permits were
applied for
I have spoken to each applicant about fencing and they are willing to work with the Rosemount Police
Dept to help control crowds in the best way possible
I recommend approval for these three applications
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION to approve Temporary Liquor Licenses for the KVAMS
Softball Tournament on July 20 -21, Rosemount Jaycee's on July 26, 27, 28, and Rosemount VFW for
July 28, and American Legion for July 24, 25, 26, and 27, 2002
