EXECUTIVE SUMMARY FOR ACTION
COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE DATE: JUNE 12, 2002
Due to concerns over possible budget cuts at the legislature, the City Council directed staff to delay the
filling of positions budgeted for 2002 with the exception of the Accounts Payable Clerk position and
capital expenditures.
The legislative session is now complete and staff would like to proceed with implementing the 2002
Budget. Council will recall that the additional positions in the 2002 budget were Maintenance Worker,
Building Inspector. Police Officer, and Police Receptionist. In addition, capital purchases of needed
equipment needs to take place.
