Team members and their advisors from Rosemount's Fire Explorer Program will be on hand to talk about their
recent trip to Washington, D.C. where they placed first in competitions at the National Fire and Emergency
Services Exploring Conference.
The Rosemount Explorer team consisted Jake Rylander, Scott Ford, Ben Tapia, Keith Long, and Jason
Bergerson and was one of 104 teams from all over the United States that participated in the events. Teams had
their choice to complete two of seven events; in the SCBA relay (an event where teams put on SCBA equipment
and negotiate an obstacle course) the Rosemount Explorers performed well enough to be awarded first place.
Two Explorers also participated in the individual SCBA relay with Jake Rylander placing first and Ben Tapia
placing third.
