REGULAR MEETING PROCEEDINGS
FEBRUARY 7, 2017
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Rosemount City Council was held
on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 2875 145th Street
West, Rosemount.
Mayor Droste called the meeting to order with Council Members Weisensel and Freske attending.
Council members Nelson and DeBettignies were absent.
Staff present included the following;
o City Administrator Martin o City Clerk Hadler
o Parks & Recreation Director Schultz o Chief of Police Scott
o Finance Director May
The Pledge of Allegiance was said.
ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO AGENDA
City Administrator Martin stated there were no proposed changes to the agenda.
Motion by Weisensel. Second by Freske.
Motion to Adopt the Agenda as presented.
Ayes: Droste, Weisensel, Freske
Nays: 0. Motion carried.

Motion by Weisensel. Second by Freske.
Motion to Approve the Consent Agenda with item 6.e. removed.

d. Professional Services Contract for Engineering - Rosemount Armory/Community
Center Parking Lot Improvements

Nays: None. Motion carried.

6.e. Receive Donations – Parks & Recreation Dept.
Mayor Droste pulled the item to thank the donors and discuss the upcoming events that the
donations will go toward.
Motion by Droste. Second by Weisensel.
Motion to approve receiving the following donations: $2,000 from the Rosemount Lions Club for
the Spring Egg Hunt, $200 from Joe Walsh for the Spring Egg Hunt, and $500 from Dakota
Electric for Safety Camp.
Ayes: Droste, Weisensel, Freske
Nays: None. Motion carried.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Mayor Droste reviewed the calendar of events. City Offices will be closed February 20th for
Presidents Day. The next City Council work session will be held on Monday, February 13th. The
next City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at 7:00 p.m.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the City Council and upon a motion by Droste,
second by Weisensel, the meeting was adjourned at 7:06 p.m.
