On Wednesday, June 27, 2001, quotes for the referenced project were received. Five (5)
quotes were received on the project.
The apparent low quote for the project is Friedges Excavating of Lakeville, MN in the amount of
$7,400. The quotes ranged from the low quote to a high quote of $320,300.
The quotes were set up to include the excavation and restoration work completed at no cost to
the City. The quotes are also evaluated for timing for completion of the work as well as a
contribution for trees /shrubs around the pond. A neighborhood meeting will be held prior to
construction.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION RECEIVING QUOTES AND
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR SHANNON POND EXCAVATION, CITY PROJECT #331.

RESOLUTION 2001—
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING QUOTES AND AWARDING CONTRACT
FOR SHANNON POND EXCAVATION
CITY PROJECT #331
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota, as follows:
1. All quotes on construction of the Shannon Pond Excavation are hereby received and
tabulated.
2. The quote of Friedges Excavating of Lakeville, MN, in the amount of $7,400.00 for the
construction of said improvements are in accordance with the plans and specifications
and advertisement for quotes is the lowest responsible quote and shall be and hereby is
accepted.
3. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said
bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of
Rosemount.
ADOPTED this 2nd day of July, 2001.
