LOCATION: Well #9 is located along the east side of
Shannon Parkway, just south of 151" Street. The Rural
Water Wells are located along the north side of CSAH 42 just
east of Akron Avenue
This item addresses several water system needs that were authorized in 2000 for completion in
2001. The items are as follows:
1. Rural Water System SCADA:
With the construction of the new water tower on the east side of town, an updated
control system was necessary to operate the rural wells. Currently the East Side Water
Tower will be filled by the rural wells, and will not be connected to the remainder of the
City system. These control modifications will allow for the pumps to be controlled by
the water level in the water tower and are necessary to operate the water tower.
Estimated construction cost is $64,000.
2. Standby Generator for Well #9:
With the recent construction of Well #9 and the continuing development of the City, we
need to maintain an acceptable level of water supply. This standby generator will allow
for continuous operation of Well #9 during power failure. It is important for community
wide fire protection that reliable water is available. Estimated construction cost is
$61,000.
These two items will be bid together as one package. Bids will be received at 11:00 a.m. on
