The one remaining Public Works Director candidate has been informed that Council interviews have been
cancelled. This candidate is currently being considered for several other positions so it is unclear how long
he will be available.
Therefore, in light of the uncertainty surrounding the Public Works position, staff would like to discuss the
option of establishing a permanent contract with WSB. We are currently gathering samples of language
from communities that contract out Public Works responsibilities and will try to have this information
available for the meeting.
