I moved to Rosemount from St. Paul where it was hard to feel a sense of community. Since moving to
Rosemount, I have started following the things that go on here. I have taken an interest in the rate at
which Rosemount in growing as well as how Rosemount is growing. I believe my voice as a citizen
who cares about what happens in Rosemount would be valuable to the Committee. In addition to
caring about the community I'm raising my children in, I have a professional interest in city planning.
I am currently a student at Inver Hills Community College in civil engineering and have considered
city planning as a potential focus for my career. I would value both the opportunity to explore city
planning as a career as well as the opportunity to participate in planning the growth of our new home.
My vision for Rosemount is to allow for growth, but without compromising the small town feel that
most of us moved to this area for.

The reasons 1 wish to serve on the Commission /Committee are numerous. First and foremost
there are so many wonderful, new & exciting things happening in Rosemount What with new
businesses, new construction, re- vamping of downtown. I believe this Is one of the most
exciting times to be involved. 1 would love to learn & sham in the information as to what we as a
community are going to be doing. In addition to having say or rather ex changing of ideas would
be marvelous. I'm a very positive & outgoing individual; l am not afraid of commitment or
intimidated easily. I have a lot of interesting opinions and ideas that I'd like to share. If you
have any questions, or if you would like to meet up with me personally,. I'd very much like to do

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and
state several reasons why I wish to serve on the Rosemount Planning
Commission and what vision and goals I would like to accomplish
while serving.
First and most importantly, I truly care about what my city is
becoming, as Rosemount grows into a sizable metropolitan suburb.
The Planning Commission is an important committee to help shape
Rosemount as it turns from a rural community into a thriving suburb.
Second, I feel that I represent the new, young families that live
in Rosemount and those that will be moving to Rosemount in the new
millennium. My family and I moved to Rosemount in 1997 and plan
to reside here for many years. My children are at the age where it is
extremely important to me what becomes of Rosemount. They are
just starting the "school age" years, as are so many other Rosemount
residents.
Third, I have always had an interest in Civic Duty and this is
one way I feel that I can contribute and serve. I will be able to add a
diverse perspective to the group.
Lastly, I want to encourage the community to mature as
outlined in the metropolitan guides and codes, yet offer my ideas and
visions as appropriate. I would like to work together with the other
Planning Commission members to maintain the ultimate common
goal that Rosemount continues to be the safe, desirable, friendly city
that it currently is.
