ATTACHMENTS: Ordinance
APPROVED BY:
This item is brought to Council for discussion and possible adoption at a future meeting. The ordinance
amendment is intended to facilitate the safe and efficient removal of snow from city streets by the Public Works
staff. Prohibiting parking on city streets during early morning hours should result in fewer vehicles being
parked on the street at other times, too.
Many communities in the metropolitan area have adopted seasonal parking restrictions. Language in this
amendment is very similar to the ordinances of Rosemount's neighboring communities.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: This is the first presentation of the proposed changes. No action is required.
After Council discussion, the ordinance will be brought back at another Council meeting for adoption if
desired.
