Background
The city hall remodeling budget contains $80,000 for electronics, that is, security systems. This
category contains three components:
1) Access control system for the entire building;
2) Closed- circuit television (CCTV) video and audio recording in the police interview rooms
and detention area;
3) - Radio speaker /intercom system in the police station.
The City Council has previously awarded contracts for the access control system and for the CCTV
video and audio recording. The City has now received bids for the third component, radio speaker
intercom system.
The bids for the 3 components of the security systems have come in below the budgeted amounts.
Amcon and staff recommend that the City Council award a contract for the following item:

RESOLUTION 2001 -
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT
FOR THE CITY HALL PROJECT
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota, as follows:
1. All bids on purchase of the miscellaneous items for the City Hall Project are
hereby received and tabulated.
2. The bid listed below in the specified amounts for the construction of said
improvements is in accordance with the plans and specifications and
advertisement for bids. The bid listed below is the lowest responsible bid for its
contract and is hereby accepted.

3. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract
with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of
the City of Rosemount.
4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of all
successful bidders and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained until a
contract has been executed.
